(Update: Teen found, unhurt)

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that a Prineville 15-year-old who was reported missing over the weekend had been found hiding in a church.

Prineville police were dispatched around 2:30 p.m. to the LDS Church on Southeast Idlewood Street in Prineville on a report that Christian Robert Goff had been found, said sheriff’s Detective Mitch Madden.

Officers and deputies contacted the teen, who was found to be unhurt and had been hiding in the church, Madden said.

“He was released back to his parents and is of no further interest,” the detective added.

The boy’s parents reported Sunday that their son was missing and last was seen around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Madden said.

The parents said Christian did not take his wallet, cellphone or identification with him. But he was reported to have taken his backpack and mountain bike.
