Oregon DMV holding ‘online open house’

KTVZ

The Oregon DMV is hosting an online open house to gather public input on ideas for the future. Oregonians are invited to visit the online open house to help DMV set priorities for ways to innovate the delivery of DMV services in Oregon and learn more about the transformation effort currently underway.

The online open house will be available from May 1 through May 31 at http://openhouse.oregondot.org/dmvfuture.

The way DMV works today may not be how it works tomorrow. There is more innovative technology at customers’ fingertips today than ever before. Things like renewing your vehicle registration at an automated kiosk, storing a digital driver license on your phone, or recording vehicle ownership electronically are all available somewhere today.

DMV has a diverse customer base and wants to learn more about how different groups prefer to do business with the division. Asking the public directly will help us learn if these ideas would be useful to our customers. Feedback from this survey will help DMV set priorities for future projects.

Any time you need to visit a DMV office, first check www.OregonDMV.com to find office hours and locations, and to make sure you have everything you need before your visit. You also can do some DMV business from home at OregonDMV.com. You can renew your vehicle registration, file a change of address or file notice of the sale of your vehicle online without getting in line at an office.
