Local Alert Weather 8/15/18

KTVZ

Hey, Central Oregon,

We continued to sit under smoky skies today, but the big change is the clouds mixed with isolated showers across the region. The system we’ve been tracking continues to move up from the south across the high dessert and moving off to the east. Temperatures have been a little cooler than yesterday, but still above average for this time of year.

Even with the isolated showers we have an air quality alert is in effect until Friday at noon all across Central Oregon and into the valley.

Today highs will be in the low to mid 90’s, hazy and a continued chance of thunder showers into tonight.
We could see cloud cover stick around until about tomorrow morning but the clear skies will not stay for long as the clouds return around 2 pm.

Over night lows from the mid 40’s to the low 60’s which keeps the temperatures above average. Tomorrow’s high are similar to today ranging from the high 80’s to the mid 90’s and temperatures will remain above average ranging from the high 80’s to the low 90’s
