MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A Filipino preacher accused of sexual abuse and human trafficking in the Philippines and similar charges in the United States has surrendered. The Philippine national police said Sunday night that Apollo Quiboloy and four other co-accused in sexual abuse and other crimes surrendered in his religious complex in southern Davao city and were flown to the police headquarters in the capital region where they are now detained. Quiboloy went into hiding after a Philippine court ordered his arrest and several others on suspicion of child and sexual abuse. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had urged Quiboloy to surrender and assured him of fair treatment by authorities.
