A former Trump aide and a longtime congressman win high-profile Georgia congressional races

ATLANTA (AP) — Former Donald Trump aide Brian Jack has won his first term in Congress from Georgia, beating Democrat Maura Keller. Meanwhile, longtime Rep. Sanford Bishop has clinched his 17th term in the House against former Trump administration official Wayne Johnson. Republicans are keeping their 9-5 majority among Georgia’s congressional seats, with all incumbents winning reelection. That includes including Marjorie Taylor Greene in northwest Georgia’s and Lucy McBath in a newly redrawn district on metro Atlanta’s west side. Voters across Georgia are approving a measure limiting increases in a home’s value for property tax purposes. Republicans are maintaining majorities in the state House and state Senate
