BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Pine Mountain Fire in Central Oregon is currently estimated at 2,483 acres and is 15% contained, with firefighters reporting minimal growth overnight. The Central Oregon Type 3 Incident Management Team will assume command of the incident at 9 a.m. today.

Firefighters worked through the night constructing line to minimize fire spread. The fire's north side is bound by handline and existing prescribed burn units. The eastern portion of the fire encountered the Pine Fire scar from 2024, which helped moderate conditions and slow its spread.

Dozer line is established around the southern portion of the fire and firefighters will bolster the eastern area with additional handline today.
