Bend Police: Two Teenagers Arrested, Accused of Assault and Unlawful use of a Weapon

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Two 14-year olds were arrested on Sunday. According to Bend Police, the teenagers are facing charges including second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The arrests followed an altercation near the intersection of Lodgepole Drive and Mahogony Street.

According to police, officers responded to an unknown problem involving multiple juveniles at approximately 11:35 p.m. at the intersection of Lodgepole Drive and Mahogony Street. Officers located two juveniles at the scene and determined two other juveniles involved in the incident were no longer in the area. An investigation revealed the altercation occurred between four boys, resulting in physical injuries.

Both injured boys received treatment and were subsequently released from St. Charles Bend. As a result of the investigation, two 14-year-olds were transported to the Deschutes County Juvenile Community Justice Facility. One of the teens was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, while the second was arrested on suspicion of menacing.
