BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Carhartt plans to open its first Central Oregon store on Nov. 12 on the North side of Bend.

The Michigan-based workwear retailer will occupy Suite 110 at 20512 Robal Lane, the site of the former Cracker Barrel restaurant.

The property has been vacant since Cracker Barrel closed its Bend restaurant in 2023. Initial renovation work took place under a 2025 permit, which involved removing interior walls and fixtures, updating portions of the exterior and preparing site improvements for a future drive-through.

Current site plans divide the building into three separate storefronts, including one equipped with a drive-through window. The design also calls for new asphalt in the parking and drive-through areas, along with a 10-foot-wide concrete sidewalk running along the front of the building.

A separate permit application submitted Aug. 6 seeks approval for two internally illuminated wall signs for the storefront. That application is currently pending with the city.

The Michigan-based company manufactures durable workwear, footwear and accessories designed for workers and outdoor activities. The nearest Carhartt locations in Oregon include sites in Portland and Keizer. The new location in Bend has began posting job listings for the new store.
