Bend, Ore. (KTVZ) --- The Shop with a Cop program in Jefferson County is preparing for its fourth year of supporting low-income families during the holiday season.

Children participating in the initiative are selected with the assistance of the Family Access Network. Over its past three years, the program has assisted 42 local families.

Selected children in the program are able to shop for their entire families to acquire necessary winter items alongside holiday gifts. Organizers are accepting community donations to support and expand the number of participating children and families this season.
