PRINEVILLE (KTVZ) -- Three people were seriously injured late Friday night in the collision of two off-road motorcycles at a southeast Prineville intersection, police said Monday.

Around 11:20 p.m., officers responded to the reported crash at the intersection of SE Fifth and Fairview streets, Sgt. Jon Dragoon said.

Arriving officers determined that two off-road motorcycles had collided. Neither vehicle was registered with the Oregon DMV, Dragoon said.

Three adult riders sustained significant injuries in the crash, Draggoon said. Emergency personnel provided medical aid at the scene, and all three individuals were taken to St. Charles Prineville. One victim was flown to St. Charles Bend with critical injuries.

"Alcohol is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash," the sergeant said.

The Prineville Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Crook County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police, Crook County Fire and Rescue, and the City of Prineville Public Works Department.

"The investigation remains open and ongoing," Dragoon said, adding: "The Prineville Police Department urges all motorists to drive sober and stay safe."
