AOL founder on how pandemic is changing spread of tech jobs

SAN RAMON, Calif. (AP) — AOL founder Steve Case started to build the online services company nearly 40 years ago before the internet became a mainstream phenomenon. For nearly the past decade, he has focused on helping establish technology hubs far from Silicon Valley and other large cities such as Seattle, New York and Boston that have long been popular places for digital entrepreneurs to settle. Case talked to The Associated Press about how the remote working phenomenon spawned by the pandemic could prove to be a silver lining by narrowing the U.S.’s economic divide.
