PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- An autopsy was underway Monday near Portland on a body found in Prineville Friday evening, police said.

Prineville police were attending the autopsy at the State Medical Examiner's Office and expect to release more details Tuesday in the death investigation, Sgt. Jimmy O'Daniel said. Until then, he could provide no further details.

Sgt. Shane Wilson said Prineville police were called to a location along Combs Flat Road shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.

Wilson said he could not reveal more details, pending family notification and further investigation. But he indicated that based on the information gathered so far, in the early stages of the investigation, there is not believed to be a threat to the community.
