TIGARD, Ore. (KGW) ā For theĀ second timeĀ in the past week, shots were fired at a Tesla dealership in Tigard, police reported Thursday morning.
While no injuries have been reported, police said a security guard who was there at the time of the shooting had to take cover. More than a dozen shots were fired in the incident, causing significant damage to the building windows and cars outside.
"Same as last week, windows and cars in both cases," said Tigard police Public Information Officer Kelsey Anderson. She said she didn't know how many cars had been hit.
Tigard police were notified at about 4:15 a.m. Anderson said investigators at the site Thursday morning have been speaking with the security guard, looking for any physical evidence or video surveillance and working with the FBI and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). She asked anyone who saw or heard something to contact Tigard police.
This latest incident comes a week afterĀ shots were fired at the Tesla dealership on March 6. In the shooting a week ago, investigators said at least seven shots were fired, damaging three cars and shattering windows, with one bullet also going through an office wall and into a computer monitor. No one was injured in the shooting. As of Thursday morning, there have been no arrests in that shooting incident.
Anderson said the ATF brought in an explosives detection dog after the first incident to locate shell casings, and will do so again for the latest shooting.

Caution tape surrounds a Tesla lot in Tigard Thursday morning, March 13. For the second time in a week, shots were fired at the dealership.
Footage after the first shooting showed shattered glass on three large window panels on one side of the building. Footage Thursday morning showed what appeared to be plywood boards over the first three window panels and shattered glass on the remaining four on that side of the building.
KGW spoke to a Tesla ownerĀ who wished to remain anonymous who said his car was among those damaged by the March 6 shooting at the Tigard dealership. His vehicle was in the shop to have the windshield replaced. He said he's now concerned about owning the electric vehicle.
"We've been nervous driving the car and uncomfortable even having it parked out in front of our house," he said. "We have taken the steps of covering the car at night."
