DIAMOND LAKE, Ore. (KTVZ) – Thunderstorms that rumbled through much of Oregon Tuesday night ignited at least seven lightning-caused fires on the Umpqua National Forest, the largest growing to about 100 acres Wednesday near Diamond Lake.

Numerous air and ground resources were tackling the Trail Fire, burning east of the lake and prompting an advisory by ODOT to motorists on nearby state Highway 138 to use caution.
