Protesters gather in downtown Bend, part of national opposition to President Trump’s actions

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Rallies were held across the nation Wednesday, including Bend, protesting several Trump administration policies enacted in recent weeks.

In downtown Bend, people gathered at midday in a steady snowfall at "Peace Corner," the intersection of Wall Street and Greenwood Avenue.

Many of the participants held signs expressing their concerns with Elon Musk and his role in the Department of Government Efficiency.

One person KTVZ News spoke with said she hopes the protest and others across the country raise awareness of what's at stake.
