Group protesting DOGE outside of Tesla dealership in Bend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- You might have seen this on your drive home Tuesday. A protest popped up outside the Tesla dealership in Bend. People were on the side of the highway to voice their complaints against the company's owner, Elon Musk.

Protesters carried signs about Musk, DOGE and pro-Ukrainian sentiments. While there have been several anti-DOGE protests in our area recently, these organizers wanted to protest directly in front of the dealership to send a message.

Joe Craig, a Bend resident, told KTVZ News: "We're out here because we're defending democracy. Democracy is what built this country, and it's never been at risk the way it is right now."

The organizers of this protest called themselves the Vocal Seniority. They plan for this event to be recurring with a protest outside the dealership every Tuesday at 5 p.m. They're calling it Take Down Tesla Tuesday.
