For 17th year, ‘We Are Remembering – Not Just a Number’ in Bend reads the names of all the fallen in Afghanistan, Iraq

A somber memorial Day event has been going on in downtown Bend for 17 years. “We Are Remembering – Not Just a Number” reads the name, age and hometown of every U.S. servicemember killed in Afghanistan since 2001 and Iraq since 2003. This year, the Troy Field event also was being livestreamed.
