Virtual race held in honor of fallen soldiers; Bend native is founder

People from across the country ran virtually on Saturday to support the Windy 25 Memorial Fund. In 2005, the fund was created after 18 soldiers died on a U.S. army helicopter in Afghanistan.

Bend native Craig Wilhelm, was the commander. He started the fund to bring families of fallen soldiers together.

It's an opportunity to remember their loved ones and support each other.
