Spotty mixed precipitation, more mountain snow

 Happy Tuesday Central Oregon!

It's quite a chilly morning here in Central Oregon coming out of overnight lows in the 20s and 30s.

We are expecting some spotty rain and snow showers on the High Desert today. This precipitation is due to a series of low pressures systems moving through the Pacific Northwest bringing the moisture over the region.

Afternoon highs will be on the cooler side in the 40s and 50s today.

There is a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Linn and Marion counties from 3am through 6 pm. Those traveling to the Willamette Valley early may see some icy spots.

The snow showers will continue today and it could be heavy at times. Be cautious if you're traveling through the mountain passes.

Drier conditions are in store for our region Wednesday. It will be a short break from the precipitation with  with more rain and mountain snow coming our way Thursday.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
