Warm Monday with a Chance for Isolated Afternoon Storms

While we have a clear, warm start to the work week on the horizon, there is a 20% chance of isolated afternoon storms popping up across the region on Monday.

Here is what you need to know before you head out the door.

🌙 Tonight: Sunday Evening Wrap-Up

Expect a comfortable and mostly quiet night ahead.

  • Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and Madras: Partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping into a comfortable 50s range. North winds around 5 to 15 mph this evening will become light overnight.
  • Sisters, Sunriver, La Pine, and Camp Sherman: Partly cloudy with lows dipping into the upper 40s to mid-50s. Watch for a few evening wind gusts up to 20 mph before things settle down.

🌅 Tomorrow Morning: Out the Door

  • What to wear: Grab a light jacket if you're out before 8:00 AM. It’s starting out chilly in the 40s and low 50s, especially through Sisters and La Pine.
  • The Commute: Dry and mostly clear for the drive to work.

☀️ Tomorrow Afternoon: Temperatures & Quick Storm Risk

It is going to be warm tomorrow, but keep an eye out for a brief, isolated afternoon shower or storm after lunchtime.

  • Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and Madras: Highs will push into the upper 80s and low 90s. Skies will clear up, but a stray afternoon storm could bring a quick burst of rain and sudden winds.
  • Sisters, Sunriver, La Pine, and Camp Sherman: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s, along with that same minor risk of a brief afternoon storm.

⚡ Fire Weather Note: Eyes to the South

With that 20% isolated storm threat in mind, fire safety is front and center. A Red Flag Warning remains active through Monday evening just to our south in Klamath and Lake counties due to lightning risks on dry ground. Because those systems are tracking north/northeast toward our southern borders, sudden wind shifts are highly possible. Be sure to follow all local fire restrictions.
