Red Flag Warning issued July 6 at 10:53AM PDT until July 7 at 10:00PM PDT by NWS Pendleton OR

…DRY AND BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS WILL LEAD TO CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING…

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 1 PM to 10 PM PDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no
longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zones 691 Lower Columbia Basin of
Oregon and 691 Lower Columbia Basin of Washington.

* TIMING…From 1 PM to 10 PM PDT Tuesday.

* WINDS…West 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 15 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
