Fair day; change for the weekend
-GOOD FRIDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...
Today, we get to enjoy a pleasant break between systems. While we may see a few thin clouds, we will also receive plenty of sunshine and highs that will be in the mid to upper 60's. Westerly breezes will be gentle at 5-10 mph. Clouds will close in quickly tonight and they will deliver a 20% chance of scattered showers by morning. Overnight lows will be in the mid 30's to low 40's and breezes will be calm.
A stationary low-pressure center just off the central coast of British Columbia will be responsible for rotating moisture and colder air into the Pacific NW over the weekend. The chance of showers Saturday morning will turn to a likelihood of rain through the balance of the day. Highs will be in the mid 60's with some gusty SW winds. This will weaken Saturday night.
The chance of showers will diminish Sunday, but we will be left with colder temperatures. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50's and overnight lows will drop below freezing. Make plans now to care for sensitive plants and animals. Monday, we will transition back to more pleasant conditions. We will see a variable cloud cover Monday and Tuesday. A nice warming trend will get us back to the low to mid 70's by Thursday.
