A little warmer

-GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

A high pressure center well to our south is gaining strength, and that will help keep our skies clear and deliver much warmer air to the region. We may see a few thin clouds today, but with plenty of sunshine our highs will reach the low 80's. Northerly breezes will be gentle at 5-10 mph. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy tonight. Lows will be in the upper 40's to low 50's with gentle westerly breezes.

The warmup will continue through the end of the work week. By Friday, we will see highs around 90 degrees. Moisture moving in over those hot temperatures will increase the cloud cover Friday afternoon. The combination of heat and moisture will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning Friday night, and that chance will stretch into Saturday. A chance of showers will carry into Sunday morning. Sunday will see daytime highs cooling to the mid to upper 60's. A slight chance of showers Monday morning will dissipate quickly, leaving us with a pretty typical day for this time of year. Highs Tuesday will be in the low to mid 70's.
