Partly cloudy conditions with continued light mountain snow

Happy Thursday, Central Oregon. This morning brings freezing temperatures and the potential black ice while temperatures are still chilly.  We had a bit of snow overnight so roads could be affected this morning.

Today appears to bring partly cloudy and mostly dry conditions, although there is a chance we will see some spotty mixed precipitation in the lower elevations this afternoon.  Temperatures will, yet again, be a few degrees cooler than yesterday and a bit below average.

The forecast area is still under the influence of a large scale upper level trough which remains over the western United States.  As a result we can expect continued snow in the Cascades and possibly 1-4 more inches of snow in the mountains by Friday afternoon when the weather is expected to change.

Southwest winds In the 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s and overnight lows will remain in the 20s and 30s.
