Cloudy skies with dry conditions and near average temperatures

Good Monday to you, Central Oregon.  This morning could bring some possible freezing temperatures before sunrise, which means a chance of slippery road conditions in some areas but nothing widespread is expected.

Today brings dry conditions and cloudy skies over the forecast area through late this afternoon and near average temperatures.

We are tracking a weak area of low pressure moving overhead to the north of our forecast area.  It will spread out today as it makes its way over region.  There may be some light snow showers in the Northern Oregon Cascades as a result but conditions in our area should be dry until the next area of low pressure approaches Tuesday night, with precipitation moving toward Oregon from the southwest. Activity could reach Central Oregon and the Cascades by as early as Tuesday night but more likely on Wednesday.

Winds today will be out of the West and Southwest in the 5-10 mph range, eventually becoming north by this afternoon.  Highs are in the 40s and overnight lows remain in the 20s across the High Desert.
