Snow persists through the weekend, icy roads possible each night

The snow will be present over the weekend but the accumulations away from the mountains will be light. The afternoon high temperatures will be in the 30s into the beginning of next week which will allow for mostly snow and some light rain mixed in at times.  The temperatures overnight will be in the low 20s so that will lead to some icy roads.

This pattern of light and wet snow each day followed by cold and icy nights will not change for a while.  This is going to be our weather pattern into the middle of the first week of March.

We are stuck in a flow of air from the west that will provide weak areas of low pressure to migrate over the Pacific Northwest and bring the chance for snow or rain each of the next several days.  Not much variation in the forecast as we move forward.

Also, there is not much of a chance for any major events that are expected to arrive. I wouldn’t count on much sunshine this weekend, but if you like wintry sports that involve snow, then head to the mountains as there will be new powder each day.
