Another clear and mild day to end the workweek

Happy Friday Central Oregon.  Similar to yesterday, today begins with freezing temperatures in the area.  Conditions have been dry so concern for ice and black ice is limited.  Pockets of limited visibility and fog are possible but nothing widespread has been reported.  Temperatures will be a bit warmer than yesterday as our warming trend continues.

Today a large area of high pressure will continue to build in the Pacific Northwest and will dominate the forecast through the weekend keeping us dry and allowing temperatures to climb. High temperatures will tick up a bit each day and could reach around 10 degrees above normal in some places by the end of the weekend.  In general, if your St. Patrick’s Day plans include being outdoors, you should have some pleasant weather!

Light and variable winds will move to north winds in the range of 5-10mph by this afternoon before becoming calm again overnight.  Highs today will be in the 50s and overnight lows in the 20s and 30s on the High Desert.
