Cloudy with light rain today, mountain snow
Good morning!
This Friday we can expect cloudy conditions along with chances for some light rain showers and mist. Afternoon highs will be similar to yesterday mainly ranging in the 50s.
Throughout the morning, temperatures will mainly stay in the 30s to 40s. I wouldn't worry too much about the rain impacting the morning commute since it's expected to be light and isn't anticipated until the afternoon.
There is a Winter Weather Advisory issued for counties all along the Cascades until Midnight Friday into Saturday. Highest amounts of snow are expected above 5000 feet, approximately 3 to 8 inches.
Travel conditions through the mountain passes may be impacted by slushy or wet snow. Give yourself extra time to get to your destination!
The majority of the moisture is staying to the west of our region.
Expect the cloudy skies to persist through the weekend. Saturday should be less rainy but it is possible you could see a stray shower. The clouds and rainy conditions are keeping the temperatures cooler than normal.
We make the transition into drier weather as move into Sunday.
Sunday will be variably cloudy as we are still getting clouds and moisture from the Pacific, but on Monday and Tuesday a break from the rain arrives.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
