Mix of rain/snow on the High Desert, drier pattern begins tomorrow

Good morning!

We're starting out the work week with a mix of on and off rain/snow showers across the High Desert. We can expect partly sunny conditions with afternoon highs in the 40s to 50s.

There is a Winter Weather Advisory in place until 11pm tonight for the East Slopes of the Cascades. Snow is expected above 4500 feet along with winds that could gust up to 50 mph. This could definitely create some challenges traveling through the passes.

Sunriver, La Pine and Sisters are included in this advisory, but snow accumulations in the lower elevations are expected to be on the lighter side.

Shower activity will linger over the mountains through Tuesday. They will come to an end Tuesday night as a ridge of high pressure begins to build into the region.

Breezy to windy conditions are expected today through Tuesday but we may see a decrease in the wind speeds overnight.

Tomorrow a drier and warmer pattern begins across Central Oregon. I hope you're excited to see our temperatures reach up to the 80s soon.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
