Warming trend moving forward

Good morning everyone!

We're starting out our Wednesday morning with some chilly conditions. Some widespread frost formed overnight.

The rest of the day should be pleasant! We’re seeing spring-like temperatures today reaching into the 60s along with some sunny skies.

Just a heads up...smoke will be highly visible from Highway 97, Bend, La Pine and Sunriver today. Firefighters are planning to conduct up to 201 acres of prescribed burning ~10 miles south of Bend, 5 miles east of Sunriver starting at 10am.

The low pressure trough was the reason for our cooler than normal temperatures recently. That is moving to the east which leaves room for a ridge of high pressure to arrive from the west. This is providing our region with a gradual warm up into the 70s tomorrow.

Afternoon highs on Friday will be in the 80s which is around 10-15 degrees above our seasonal average, but not record-breaking. This will also be the case as we move into the weekend.

Enjoy the sunshine for the next few days!
