More showers, below normal temps

Good morning!

Showers began in the mid-afternoon yesterday and continued throughout the night. Most of the storms and lighting were focused on the western side of the region, closer to the Cascades.

Temperatures across the region will only reach the 50s and 60s today, keeping us well below normal. More showers are expected throughout Friday, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

It should be breezy out there as well. This cooler trend will persist into Saturday, with a slight possibility of spotty showers as the weekend begins.

The cooler, wet weather is a result of low pressure deepening just off the coast. As the system moves out of the region, warmer weather is expected early next week, with temperatures rising into the 80s by Monday.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday.
