Gradually warming back into the 90s through the weekend

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

A ridge of high pressure is building into the region and will heat temperatures up by about 4 or 5 degrees each day over the next few days. Look for highs to top out in the low 80s today but heat into the mid and upper 80s tomorrow. Areas will heat into the 90s by Sunday and we’ll continue to see hot temperatures into next week.

Monday looks like the hottest day, with little overnight relief for some. There is the possibility the National Weather Service releases heat advisories for our area. Make sure you have ways to stay cool as temperatures warm back up.

In addition to the heat, it will be very sunny which makes it perfect river floating or lake boating weather!

However, dry and hot isn’t always a great combo for the high desert at this time of year. Winds are expected to get a little breezy at the top of next week which will bring an elevated fire threat. Remember to always practice fire safety.

Have a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend!
