Summer-like temperatures continue across Central Oregon

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - The warm and dry pattern continues as high pressure remains parked over the Pacific Northwest.

Today looks to be the warmest day of the work week, with highs climbing back into the 80s under sunny skies. Afternoon west to northwest winds will likely gust around 15 to 25 mph.

Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the 40s.

Highs will climb back into the low 80s for most spots on Thursday. Temperatures are running well above normal for early May, when we typically see highs in the low to mid 60s.

Friday brings a slight cool down with highs returning to the low and mid 70s along with more clouds overhead. Most areas should stay dry, but the better chance for a passing shower will be over the Cascades.

We’re looking at a warm weekend ahead with highs in the low to mid 80s. The summer-like heat is expected to continue into early next week.

Warm temperatures, very dry air, and breezy winds could increase fire concerns across the region.
