Gradual clearing today with cooler temps & gusty winds

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Some showers and thunderstorms moved through early Wednesday, but skies should gradually clear through the afternoon.

Much cooler air has moved in, bringing highs back down into the 50s and 60s after Tuesday’s summer-like heat.

Winds will also pick up across Jefferson, Deschutes, and Crook Counties, with sustained winds around 15 to 25 mph and gusts near 35 mph at times. Dangerous crosswinds may impact highway 97 at times so be prepared for travel troubles.

Conditions improve Thursday as winds ease and temperatures warm back into the 70s.

Friday looks mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s.

A cooler pattern returns Saturday, with highs in the upper 50s. There’s a chance for showers over the Cascades along with some high-elevation snow. Across the High Desert, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine.

Sunday stays dry and breezy with temperatures warming back into the 60s. Another chance for spotty showers arrives Monday, with highs climbing into the low 70s.

Have a great Wednesday!
