Above normal temps, chance for isolated storms today

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Hot weather continues today with another chance for showers and storms in Central Oregon.

A heat dome centered over the middle of the country continues to impact the Pacific Northwest. At the same time, moisture is moving into the region, providing an opportunity for spotty showers and thunderstorms today.

Highs will be in the mid 80s to 90s today across Central Oregon. Expect mostly sunny skies to start the day, with clouds increasing through the afternoon.

Skies will become mostly clear overnight as lows dip into the 40s and 50s.

Thursday may be slightly cooler, but temperatures will still remain above normal for this time of year. A drier pattern will take over tomorrow, with skies turning partly cloudy to mostly sunny.

Temperatures will gradually warm into the weekend, bringing several days with temperatures in the 90s. Wildfire danger remains a concern as hot and dry conditions continue.

Some spotty light rain is possible on Monday along the east face or crest of the Cascades, but very low chance.
