CET offers free rides Friday, updates service status

KTVZ

More than 25″ of snow fell in Central Oregon this week, shattering records that date back to 1917. Throughout the snowstorm, CET drivers and staff worked hard to safely and efficiently get people to work, doctor’s appointments, and grocery stores.

To celebrate this achievement and to thank our community, CET is offering free rides on Friday (3/1) on Bend Fixed Route and Community Connector services so that people can safely commute to work, run errands, or visit friends and family with a free ride.

Traveling on CET buses during inclement weather is a safe and reliable travel option. The next time it snows, hop on a bus and let CET do the driving!

See below CET’s operation schedule for Friday, 3/1.

CET Service Operations for Friday, March 1, 2019

Cascades East Transit will operate on a snow schedule for Friday, 3/1 as described below. Please note that all time points on schedules are estimates, as service may be affected by weather conditions and/or traffic.

Bend Fixed Route and Dial-A-Ride services will operate on a snow schedule. Service begins with regular start times at 6 am at Hawthorne Station. The service then transitions to a snow schedule at 8 am when Bend Fixed Route buses are scheduled to leave Hawthorne Station on the hour. This facilitates a successful transfer from Community Connectors to Fixed Route services. Community Connector services and rural Dial-A-Ride will operate on regular schedules. Mt. Bachelor will continue to operate its regular schedule–information can be found at https://cascadeseasttransit.com/ride/mt-bachelor-winter/. For further updates, visit www.CascadesEastTransit.com or CET’s Twitter or Facebook page . For general service-related information, please call CET’s customer service representatives at 541-385-8680. For any additional questions, contact Derek Hofbauer at dhofbauer@coic.org (541-548-9534) or Ashley Hooper at ahooper@coic.org (541-699-4096).
