Heat Advisory issued July 21 at 2:27PM PDT until July 21 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS Medford OR

* WHAT…High temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees this afternoon.

* WHERE…Lake County and eastern Klamath County, Central Siskiyou
County, South Central Siskiyou County, North Central and Southeast
Siskiyou County, Northeast Siskiyou and Northwest Modoc Counties,
Modoc County, and Klamath Basin.

* WHEN…Until 11 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Persistent heat will limit ability to cool down.
Additionally, smoke combined with hot temperatures may heighten
the potential for heat related illnesses due to limiting the
ability to open windows for cooler air.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
