Festive fun: plenty of events at Mt. Bachelor to keep you busy between Christmas and New Year’s Day

There are some fun, festive events happening on Mt. Bachelor to keep you and the whole family busy between Christmas and New Year's Day! From cookie decorating to a guided snowshoe tour, Mt. Bachelor has you covered.

Here is a full list of the upcoming events:

December 27-28: Kids Après - Cookie Decorating

12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Treat the family to a free cookie decorating event at the Kids Après lounge, located on the lower level of West Village Lodge. Kids can decorate cookies with colorful icing, sprinkles, and fun toppings to make delicious, personalized treats.

December 27-28: Mt. Bachelor Side Bar 

11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Unwind slopeside at the base of the Red Chair. Enjoy ice-cold beer, burritos available for purchase, and a relaxed après atmosphere with feel-good music.

December 27: Passholder Early Ups | Mt. Bachelor

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Passholder Early Ups on Red Chair are back! Guests with Outplay 365 or Full Season Passes can hit the slopes early every Saturday from December 27, 2025 - February 21, 2026. Weather and conditions permitting, Red Chair will open for passholders at 8:00 a.m.

December 27: Sunset Snowshoe Tours #1 | Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center

3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Embark on a guided snowshoe tour with local author and historian Glenn Voelz for the hour-and-half interpretive tour that discusses Mount Bachelor's natural and cultural history while exploring the spectacular alpine scenery. The tour covers a two-mile route that gently climbs to a stunning high point for sunset, traverses to capture breathtaking views of the Three Sisters Wilderness, pauses for a trailside hot chocolate break, and returns to the Nordic Lodge as dusk descends upon the snowy landscape. Enjoy light snacks and conversation as you warm up by the cozy wood stove. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase. Bring a headlamp. Tickets are $59 and include snowshoe rentals, hot drinks, and snacks at the end of the tour.

December 31: New Year's Eve Luminaria

5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Embark on a candlelit adventure to ring in 2026 in the great outdoors. The Luminaria Trail extends for 2 kilometers and is open to both skiers and snowshoers. The Nordic Café will be serving up food and beverages and Nordic staff will tend to an on-snow bonfire. Headlamps, costumes, glow-in-the-dark attire, and general merriment are encouraged! While this is a self-guided tour, a Half-Day Nordic Trail Ticket ($24 adult / $16 senior & youth) or a Nordic Season Pass is required and may be purchased at the Nordic Lodge. Nordic Rentals and Retail will also be open during the event.
