Showers & storms wrap up early, much cooler temperatures today

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Expect mostly cloudy skies to start the day, with a few lingering showers through mid-morning. There’s also a chance for a few thunderstorms.

Cooler air has moved back into the region, bringing high temperatures down into the 50s and 60s.
This is around a 20-30 degree drop from our Tuesday highs.

Once the rain moves out, we’ll return to dry and breezy conditions as skies clear. Jefferson, Deschutes and Crook Counties will see speeds in the 15 – 25 mph range at times with gusts near 35. Dangerous crosswinds may impact highway 97 at times so be prepared for travel troubles.

Winds are expected to calm down tomorrow, with temperatures warming back into the 70s.

We’re tracking mostly sunny skies on Friday with highs in the upper 60s.

Saturday will be cooler, with highs in the upper 50s. There’s a chance for showers over the Cascades along with some possible high-elevation snow. Across the High Desert, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine.

Sunday looks dry and breezy with slightly warmer temperatures returning to the 60s. The next chance for showers arrives Monday, when we could see some spotty rain with highs back in the low 70s.
