Warm and dry start to June

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Good morning! This week looks mostly quiet with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine, but there is a chance for some unsettled weather midweek.

The dry pattern will continue today with plenty of sunshine for your Monday plans.

Daytime highs will reach the low to mid 70s this afternoon with some breezy afternoon winds.

Today is the first day of meteorological summer, which runs from June through August. Unlike astronomical summer, which begins later in June with the summer solstice, meteorologists use calendar months to better organize weather and climate data.

Expect clear skies overnight with low temperatures dipping into the upper 30s to 40s.

The warming continues into Tuesday, bringing high temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s.

Expect cloud cover to increase Wednesday ahead of scattered rain showers and a chance for isolated thunderstorms later in the day. Temperatures will stay warm, with highs reaching the mid 70s.

By Thursday, we return to dry and sunny conditions with highs in the low to mid 70s. Friday looks very similar, with another warm and pleasant day expected across the region.

The weekend ahead looks dry and mostly sunny, with highs cooling into the mid to upper 60s.
