Pleasant Thursday with mostly quiet conditions through the weekend

KTVZ

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - As we head through the end of the week, expect mostly quiet weather across the High Desert. Today will be dry and mostly sunny with highs reaching the low to mid 70s.

Similar temperatures will return on Friday. Expect increasing clouds tomorrow evening ahead of mountain showers that will continue into Saturday. Areas east of the Cascades will likely stay dry, as the mountains are expected to squeeze out most of the moisture.

The rain in the mountains will not get into the high desert as the mountains will squeeze out all the moisture.

We’ll start Saturday with mostly cloudy skies, but sunshine will gradually return as the day goes on. A deep area of low pressure will bring cooler temperatures back to Central Oregon, with highs only reaching the upper 50s and low 60s.

Temperatures will warm about 10 degrees by Sunday with quiet conditions.

Clouds will increase again by Monday, along with a slight chance for light rain. A few showers could linger into Tuesday and Wednesday, but rain chances remain fairly low. At this point, it doesn’t look like we’ll see enough rainfall to make a major impact on the drought, but any moisture is welcome.

High temperatures will stay in the low 70s early next week.
