Red Flag Warning issued June 22 at 10:35PM PDT until June 23 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Pendleton OR

…Critical Fire Weather Conditions Tuesday Afternoon…

.Breezy northeast winds with gusts around 30 mph are expected
as relative humidity drops below 20 percent across portions of
the Columbia Basin of Oregon Tuesday Afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Tuesday.

* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zone 691 Lower Columbia Basin of
Oregon.

* TIMING…From 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Tuesday.

* WINDS…Northeast 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 13 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
