FS road to close 2 days for construction
Starting next Wednesday, July 25, Forest Service (FS) Road 2610 will be closed at the junction with Highway 26 for two days for construction.
A cattleguard is being replaced on the FS Road 2610. The road will be re-opened on Friday, July 27.
During the construction period no detours will be in place. There will be signs on Highway 26 reminding drivers of the closure and a barricade will be placed at the junction of FS Road 2610 and Highway 26. The closure is necessary to allow the construction work to take place safely.
Visitors also need to be aware of the heavy volume of log and construction truck traffic on the Lookout Mountain Ranger District and Paulina Ranger District of the Ochoco National Forest. When traveling in areas of commercial activity, slow down, stay on your side of the road, and use turnouts.
Expect commercial activity on the following FS roads: 22, 2210, 2610 on the Ochoco Ranger Station side, 2630, 58, 5830, 5840, and 5870. There will also be activity in the vicinity of all these roads.
