Deschutes County seeks investment panel members

Deschutes County seeks two residents to voluntarily serve on the Deschutes County Investment Advisory Committee. Applications are being taken now until March 16.

The Deschutes County Investment Committee is composed of five members with a background and/or experience as a banker, security broker, CPA/accountant, municipal finance personnel, and a Deschutes County budget committee member.

The Committee meets with the County Treasurer at least twice per year and reviews the investment portfolio with regard to compliance with the adopted investment policy. The committee makes recommendations to policy changes and possible investment procedures.

The County Treasurer and the Board of County Commissioners make appointments to the Investment Advisory Committee. Two appointments will be for two-year terms, and two will be for four-year terms. The Deschutes County Budget Committee member position on the Investment Committee will be selected each year by the Budget Committee.
