Center Foundation sets ‘Love Your Brain’ fundraising effort

The Center Foundation is conducting its first, on-line fundraiser during the week of June 15-19 th with the focus on brain and spinal cord injury prevention programs.

“Love Your Brain” is a safety awareness and fundraising campaign designed to continue public awareness about the importance of helmets and identification of youth concussion.

Last year, The Center Foundation distributed 800 no-cost bike helmets to local youngsters, conducted over 1,000 concussion baseline tests and assisted over 100 concussed youth. Proceeds from the on-line fundraiser are earmarked for bike helmets, and brain and spinal cord injury prevention awareness.

On Wednesday, June 17 th , as part of the “Love Your Brain” awareness and fundraising campaign, The Center Foundation is hosting a bike rodeo and safety fair from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at High Lakes Elementary School located at 2500 NW High Lakes Loop.

This free event is open to the public and will include a bike obstacle course, helmet demonstrations, helmet checks, and bike mechanical assessments as well as information and booths related to “Love Your Brain.” Special thank you to News Channel 21 and AirLink.
