Pilot Butte summit road to close for asphalt patching

KTVZ

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department will temporarily close Pilot Butte State Park’s summit road to both vehicle and foot traffic on Friday to perform asphalt patch work.

Due to the extremely hot weather predicted, the road will not reopen until Saturday morning to allow the work to cure.

“We ask that hikers use the dirt nature trail or base trail during this time,” says Susan Bethers, park manager. “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in avoiding the work area and thank you for your patience while we perform this much-needed project.”
