Power back on in Madras after late-night outage
A power outage hit more than 1,300 Pacific Power customers in Madras for over two hours late Thanksgiving Eve.
Pacific Power’s outage update page said the cause was not known but that a repair crew had been dispatched. Residents reported the power came back on by about 12:40 a.m. Some area residents said power went off again for about an hour Thanksgiving morning.
Madras was down to 9 degrees and 10 at the airport at 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Madras Airport was down to 3 degrees early Thursday but a resident said it dropped to -1 overnight.
