Shannon Brady

Local Alert Meteorologist

Shannon joined KTVZ News in June of 2024, after graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Meteorology and Climatology. She is a member of the American Meteorological Society and participates in the local chapter here in Oregon, furthering her connection to the community.

Shannon's passion for weather and the way the world around us works started from a young age. She believes the career found her, rather than the other way around. Shannon advocates strongly for educating people about the weather and thinks awareness and preparedness are the best ways to safeguard oneself from severe weather.

Shannon grew up in the Pacific Northwest, in Washington, and is thrilled to be back in the mountains, keeping the people of Central Oregon safe and informed.

When she’s not giving you the forecast every morning, she’s out hiking with her dog Remington, reading a book, or watching the birds from her backyard.
