Warmer Start to the Week with Patchy Smoke

Central Oregon will start the new week warmer, with sunshine and patchy smoke sticking around.

Tonight will be mostly clear with patchy smoke. Lows will fall into the mid-40s to lower 50s around Bend, Redmond, Madras and Prineville. North winds of 5 to 10 mph could gust around 20 mph this evening before becoming light overnight.

Monday will be sunny and warmer, with highs reaching the upper 80s to lower 90s across much of Central Oregon. Patchy smoke will continue, with north winds of 5 to 10 mph and gusts around 20 mph possible during the afternoon.

Communities closer to the Cascades, including Sisters, Sunriver and La Pine, will be slightly cooler, with highs generally in the upper 70s to mid-80s, although some valley locations could reach the lower 90s.

Tuesday will be another hot day, with highs in the lower to mid-90s around Bend, Redmond, Madras and Prineville. Patchy smoke will continue.

Temperatures remain warm Wednesday before a more noticeable cooldown arrives Thursday. Highs Thursday through the weekend are expected to fall back into the upper 70s to mid-80s across much of Central Oregon, with mostly clear skies continuing.
