Meyer Trust makes grants to 2 C. Oregon groups

At its September meeting, Meyer Memorial Trust’s board of trustees made two grants totaling $125,500 to family services organizations in central Oregon.

A grant of $55,000 was awarded to Family Access Network Foundation in Bend to build fund-raising capacity for programs that connect struggling families with social services in central Oregon.

Also, a grant of $70,000 was made to Bend’s MountainStar Family Relief Nursery for operating support for the organization, which provides child abuse and neglect prevention services.

These grants bring the total amount awarded since Meyer Memorial Trust began operating in 1982 to more than $19 million in central Oregon.

Meyer Memorial Trust is one of the largest private foundation in Oregon, with assets of approximately $650 million. The Board of Trustees—which includes Debbie Craig, John Emrick, Orcilia Ziga Forbes, George Puentes and Gerry Pratt—meets monthly to make grants.
